Data Projection Unit, Laptop, Video recorder plus 5 foot screen for use by any church group at a nominal charge.
This equipment allows pre-recorded video tapes (commercial or home video) to be projected onto a large screen rather than shown on a TV. The system also allows anything shown on the laptop screen to be projected onto the large screen. .
The laptop is loaded with freely available OpenOffice.org software. Users may prepare their presentation material on the lap top or on their own computer using Microsoft products and transfer using a floppy disk. It has all the uses of pre-prepared overhead projector slides but also allows for the use of animation and digital photographs. It can be used to project song words, illustrate talks or information presentations using words or digital pictures as well as animating stories.
The more subdued the lighting the clearer the image but total blackout is not necessary. Operators must be over 18 years old and have attended a RCC training on the use of the equipment or to have proven ability to use it. If a group have no such qualified person then RCC will provide someone to supervise its use.
Those hiring it will be responsible for its collection and return.
